Planica 2026: Where Dreams come true

26–29 March 2026 – Planica once again writes history.
The valley beneath the Ponce mountains, home of the men’s World Cup Ski-Flying Final for decades, will now host a ground-breaking first: women will soar from the legendary Brothers Gorišek Flying Hill.

Over four days, four competitions will unfold: two men’s individual events, one women’s individual event, and one men’s team event — cementing Planica’s status as Slovenia’s biggest sporting celebration, often called the nation’s “greatest sports holiday.”
For Slovenians, it’s almost a rite of passage: at least once in life you should climb mount Triglav and see Planica live.

Where limits are pushed

Planica 2025 delivered one of the most spectacular season-finales in World Cup history.
With over 64,000 spectators cheering, the valley once again proved to be a place where human limits shift.
On 30 March 2025, Domen Prevc set a new world record at 254.5 m, becoming the first Slovenian ever to hold the record on home soil. On the same day, Anže Lanišek claimed victory, completing a perfect day for the Slovenian team.
The atmosphere at the outrun surpassed all past records, confirming Planica’s special place in the hearts of athletes and ski-jumping fans.

Where cheering becomes an experience

Planica is more than a competition — it’s a festival of Slovenian sport, belonging, and pride.
Generations of fans meet here, where records fall often, and every visitor becomes part of an unforgettable story.
Fan zones with stalls, kids’ corners, and rich culinary offers will again come alive around the hill’s outrun.
A strong focus will be on environmental responsibility: free public transport, minimal plastic use, and efficient energy management will help keep Planica as pristine as we know it.

Where everyone finds their spot

Enjoy special early-bird ticket prices available until 5 February 2026 — unchanged from last year.
Given the expected large turnout, secure tickets early and only from official sellers.

- Standing zones around the hill offer the most authentic fan vibe.
- Kavka, Krka, and NLB grandstands provide comfortable seating with great views.
- For those seeking top comfort, there are two VIP club areas — Klub Planica and Klub Rekord — with premium hospitality.

Whether it’s for business gatherings, friends’ get-togethers, or family trips, there’s something for everyone.
Families with young children are especially welcome: kids up to 6 enter free with parents/guardians, and on Sunday the free entry extends to children up to 14.

Where history is made

2026 will forever be remembered in ski-jumping history.
After years of effort and proof of readiness, the world’s top female flyers will finally compete on the largest flying hill.
The women’s event is set for Saturday, 28 March at 14:15, when the top 15 ski jumpers will fight for a prestigious win in front of passionate Planica fans.
Access to the women’s event is already included in the regular day-ticket price, so let’s turn out in full force to cheer on these trailblazers.

Where records speak
- 8,100 tons of snow prepared the hill; about half melts by the end of the weekend.
- Ski-flyers soar on average 5.3 m above the ground, with the best reaching over 6 m at peak height.
- 64,633 spectators attended Planica 2025 live.
- In jumps over 240 m, athletes stay airborne for 7–8 seconds.
