3-Day Online Training: HPLC/UHPLC & Empower CDS – Theory and Practice for Analytical Labs

This training offers a perfect combination of chromatography theory and practical data analysis, designed for analytical laboratories in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

It is ideal for graduates, junior analysts, and early-career scientists who want to build strong, job-relevant skills.

Participants will learn how HPLC/UHPLC separations really work and how to acquire, process, and report chromatographic data using Empower CDS – the software used by nearly every pharmaceutical company worldwide.

The course bridges theory and practice: from understanding retention, resolution, and method behavior to confidently applying this knowledge in Empower for routine, GMP-compliant analysis.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Understand core HPLC/UHPLC separation principles and method parameters
Identify and troubleshoot common chromatographic problems
Work confidently with Empower CDS for routine analysis
Apply chromatographic theory directly in daily lab work

About the Trainers:

Sami El Deeb: Professor of Pharmaceutical Instrumental Analysis in Germany and founder & CEO of German Chemburg. He specializes in HPLC/UHPLC, LC-MS/MS, and sustainable chromatography (green, blue, white chemistry). Sami leads hands-on workshops in method development, validation, and greening analytical techniques, bridging theory and practice for pharma QC and R&D.

Inessa Peters: Experienced Empower CDS Trainer and Consultant, Founder & CEO of LabWissen (Switzerland). With a strong background in pharmaceutical QC and GMP, she previously worked at Waters Germany collaborating with top pharma companies, and now supports labs worldwide through LabWissen. Inessa brings deep industry knowledge and a practical, hands-on approach, enabling participants to apply new skills directly.
