31st Diplomatic Ball

We cordially invite you to the 31st Diplomatic Ball, held on 11 April 2026 at the Diplomatische Akademie Wien, the world’s oldest school of diplomacy.

The students of the Diplomatische Akademie have the honour of organising this year’s Charity Ball – a highlight of the Academy’s calendar. As the most distinguished event at the Academy, we expect around 600 guests, including ambassadors, business representatives, friends of the academy and our very promising student body.

Support a charitable cause:
This year, we are partnering with Debra Austria on their important mission of helping children suffering from epidermolysis bullosa, a rare genetic disease that causes painful skin blistering.

Dress code:
Ladies are expected to wear a floor-length evening gown, mess dress uniform, or traditional national attire (below the knee). Please note that white dresses are reserved exclusively for debutantes.

For gentleman: White tie or black tie attire is required. This includes a tailcoat with white bow tie, or a tuxedo or dinner jacket with black bow tie. Mess dress uniform or formal national attire (below the knee) is also acceptable.
