Since their high school days these two friends have made music, and since a few years as Ciao Lucifer: the indie pop project in which they tackle life's hardships with cheerful music. Their danceable, sunny tunes exist for one purpose only: to escape bleak reality, and dance away your demons. A kind of exorcism ritual, but with more kazoo. The Amsterdammers process their struggles with life and the state of the world in clever ways. Their lyrics have a deeper layer, wrapped in catchy choruses. A formula with which Ciao Lucifer makes the world a slightly nicer place. With success, because they’ve been playing on national and international stages for years. And whether they play for a sold-out Paradiso or three drunken Macedonians, they raise the roof with surgical precision.
