Skraeckoedlan

Skraeckoedlan is a musical experience. A pretentious proposition perhaps, though nonetheless it is not without merit. In 2009 Skraeckoedlan began playing heavy, melodic fuzz-rock with swedish lyrics that sang about science fiction, folklore and metaphorical space creatures. This is still true today except the rock is heavier, the Fuzz is Fuzzier, the melodies more melodic, the tales more epic and the album concepts more ambitious. Since taking control of the entire creative process, the latest album being written, recorded and mixed by the band, the Skraeckoedlan universe has expanded exponentially. Not just musically. The band writes science fiction novels to accompany their albums, directs their music videos, produces videogames and tours with a full scale arcade machine containing said videogame. All these pieces build to a whole which culminates in their live show. There, on stage, the experience known as Skraeckoedlan culminates and is total.

Pulling the heavy elements of stoner doom into garage rock, Laser Eyes sound more like a multi instrumental endeavour than a 2 piece band. Combining straight to the point hard-rock riffs with dozens of FX pedals, stoner chords and atmospheric ambience, the Austrian heavy rock duo formed by Lukas Grumet and Thomas Sager are here to prove they mean business.
Their catalogue comprises songs that fans of the early 90s stoner rock scene will love and appreciate but doesn’t fall short when it comes to bringing in innovative and extrovert elements that make the sound of Laser Eyes unique.
