Jupiter Orchestra of the City of Vöcklabruck
Conductor: David Pennetzdorfer
Soloist: Barbara Wincor

The Orchestra of the City of Vöcklabruck invites you to the traditional Mozart matinee, which once again places outstanding works of the Viennese Classical period in the spotlight. Under the direction of David Pennetzdorfer and featuring Barbara Wincor as soloist, the audience can expect a program that combines both musical brilliance and emotional depth.

The matinee opens with the overture to Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito, the master's last opera seria from 1791. This is followed by the lyrical romance in F major for violin and orchestra by Ludwig van Beethoven, presumably composed in 1798, and the aria of Marzelline "O wär ich schon mit dir vereint" from Beethoven's Fidelio, both pieces performed by Barbara Wincor, who thus appears as a soloist in two different genres, namely as a violinist and a singer.

To conclude the matinee, Mozart's last symphony in C major, KV 551, will be performed, which received the nickname "Jupiter Symphony" during the Romantic period, likely due to the contrapuntal sophistication and radiant finale of the last movement. In any case, it is a milestone of symphonic music that lends its title to this concert.

A festive morning that makes Mozart and Beethoven experienceable in all their fullness – and once again shows why the Mozart matinee is considered one of the musical highlights of the cultural year in Vöcklabruck.

Tickets will be available from December 10, 2025!
Organizer: STADT+KULTUR Vöcklabruck GmbH
