Christmas Roas - contemplation, tradition and a lively community The Abtenau Museum Association & the Strubbergschützen invite you to the pre-Christmas "Roas" around the Arlerhof: a pre-Christmas circular route with crafts, music, light & culinary delights ... Along the way, visitors experience the Christmas season as it once was - quiet, handcrafted and contemplative.

Be enchanted by the many special features:
Illuminated shadow paintings depicting Christmas and local motifs, bathing the path in soft light. A living nativity scene with ox, donkey and sheep that brings the magic of Christmas Eve to life. Rural crafts as they used to be: schnapps distilling, wool spinning, monastery and lace making. Christmas stories, carol singers and carolers who accompany the Advent season with sound. Traditional "Anglöckler", who move from station to station and proclaim the peace of the Christmas season with songs and bells. Culinary delicacies from the Rauchkuchl: freshly prepared Abtenauer Haubenkrapfen, Muas and other regional specialities. A lovingly designed nativity scene exhibition with regional handicrafts. Even the youngest guests won't miss out at the Abtenauer Weihnachtsroas: in the cosy craft room at the Arlerhof, children can create small Christmas presents and decorations with the help of assistants. This turns the wait for the Christ Child into a special experience - creative, supervised and in the spirit of the quiet season. Highlight on Saturday: St Nicholas and Krampus to touch: an atmospheric, down-to-earth traditional experience for young and old - without spectacle, but with a lot of heart. Free admission.
