"Tuntenball" translates to "Drag Ball" in English.

The Tuntenball Graz is one of the most striking and traditional ball events in Styria and will once again transform the Congress Graz into a stage of vibrant diversity and solidarity on February 21, 2026. Europe’s largest charity ball is much more than a dance party – it stands for visibility, self-expression, and the support of queer human rights. Since its first edition in 1990 at the Graz University Mensa, the Tuntenball has evolved from a small celebration into an international crowd-puller that attracts thousands of guests each year and celebrates its founding idea – equality, respect, and acceptance. The event is organized by the queer human rights organization RosaLila PantherInnen and uses the proceeds for year-round work in the areas of counseling, visibility, and community support in Graz and beyond. Under the motto "Grand Bordell Tuntenball," the audience can expect an extensive supporting program: glamorous shows, a drag race with spectacular performances, DJ sets, dance floors in various areas of the Congress, a red carpet for creative costumes, and many surprises from international artists and local talents. This tradition combines exuberant festive spirit with an awareness of active solidarity and social participation. In addition to the ball night itself, there are warm-up parties, drag brunches, and a drag race as a competition for the most creative performers, who will be judged by a prominent jury. Visitors come together in imaginative outfits, celebrating the performing arts, music, and a sense of community in an open, respectful atmosphere. The Tuntenball is not only a colorful spectacle but also an expression of lived diversity and solidarity, right in the heart of Graz.
