Advent market in the museum The traditional Advent market in the museum heralds the start of the Christmas season in Obertrum. This year the Advent market will take place from Friday. 21.11. to Sunday, 23.11. with an extensive programme. There will once again be handmade Advent wreaths and various Christmas decorations. Specialities include the hand-painted "Obertrum Christmas baubles", Christmas biscuits and the museum egg liqueur made according to an old recipe. Once again this year, many local craftsmen and women will be exhibiting and selling their works of art in the Einlegersaal. Coffee and cake, hot mulled wine and children's punch as well as tasty lard bread will be served. Friday, 21.11.2025 from 14:00 - 20:00 16:00 Museum tour through the Einlegerhaus 18:00 Krampuskränzchen at the museum car park On Friday, the museum opens its doors at 14:00. At 16:00 there will be an adventure tour including a Christmas search game. For all brave museum visitors, this year for the first time there will be a Krampus wreath in the museum car park from 18:00. Saturday, 22.11.2025 from 10:00 - 17:00 14:00 Experience guided tour & Christmas search game for the whole family 15:00 - 17:30 Children's programme (handicrafts, search game, Christmas story) 16:00 School children's choir On Saturday, the Advent market is open from 10:00 to 20:00. After a guided tour of the museum at 14:00 for the whole family, there will be a great programme especially for our young visitors from 15:00. In addition to a tricky Christmas search game through the museum and the popular handicrafts in the Christmas workshop, this year there will be a Christmas reading by museum curator Ingeborg Mastnak. At 16:00, the school children's choir will sing contemplative songs under the direction of Lea Scheiber. There will also be a lovely Christmas reading and the Obertrum wind ensemble, led by Heidi Geier, will fill the Einlegersaal with Christmas sounds.
