How can one participate in the Graz Carnival Parade?
Groups wishing to take part in the Carnival Parade can register online starting in October 2023. Important note: Due to the Carnival Parade, trams will not operate on Herrengasse from around 12:15 PM to approximately 3:15 PM on that day - a substitute bus service will be provided. Since the city center around the parade is always very crowded on Carnival Tuesday, it is advisable to use public transportation. Arrive early to secure a spot with a good view of the parade! If you are coming from outside the city, we recommend using one of the numerous Park & Ride parking lots on the outskirts. By the way: The Graz Carnival Parade is broadcast live on ORF2 every year - the broadcast starts at 1:15 PM and ends at 2:10 PM.
