The Weinviertel serenity comes from walking. As you walk with us through the vineyards, you will feel the full force of spring and savour the young wine: this is "In die Grean gehen" - our spring greeting - the revival of old customs.

Derived from the biblical Emmgang, winegrowers used to taste the young wine in the Kellergasse, give thanks for the harvest and recharge their batteries for the coming year. In the middle of the 19th century, winegrowers used to thank their harvest helpers on Easter Monday. Going to the "Grean" is no longer reserved for harvest helpers.

The ease of walking through the vineyard also whets the appetite for toasting. Wine lovers in particular get their money's worth with "In die Grean gehen". Shared enjoyment in the vineyard - in a place where wine and enjoyment come into their own.

Visit us every Wednesday from March to May:
