MAHLER FESTIVAL: Festive Opening

With the festive opening of the 10th Gustav Mahler Festival, Steinbach am Attersee celebrates a double anniversary: 130 years after the creation of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 3, the work takes center stage in a festival week dedicated to "Mahler's Universe." The anniversary festival will be officially opened at the historic composing hut, a central location from Mahler's creative period, marking the beginning of concerts, discussions, cultural, and nature experiences along the Attersee. At the same time, this year's special exhibition on the festival theme will be presented for the first time, curated by the internationally recognized Mahler expert and festival director Morten Solvik.
