On Christmas Eve, God's Son is annually welcomed by the traditional marksmen at Lake Wolfgang. It aims to prepare the people for the coming of the Lord on Holy Night. The marksmen greet the child of Bethlehem, the incarnate Son of God, on Christmas Eve. Together with the angels, they proclaim peace on earth to all people of good will. Just as the heavenly messenger once brought glad tidings to the shepherds in the field, the marksmen want to call out loudly into the land today: "To you is born the Savior!"
