On an Expedition with National Park Rangers
How do snow crystals actually form? What survival strategies do the snow hare, snow grouse, and marmot have? In which locations do different types of avalanches occur? You will learn all this and much more on this exciting winter tour. Your expedition guide is a real ranger from the Hohe Tauern National Park. Your journey begins in Kaprun and takes you via panoramic cable car rides above the tree line all the way up to the glacier. Along the way, you will experience a special highlight: the ride on the 3K K-onnection – one of the most modern and energy-efficient cable cars in the world. From its special Explorer cabins, you can enjoy an unobstructed panoramic view of the impressive high alpine natural landscape down to the Zell Basin. At the end of the tour, you will find yourself at TOP OF SALZBURG – Salzburg's highest excursion destination with two spectacular panoramic platforms, a mystical information tunnel, Austria's highest cinema, and the summit restaurant with a 5-star panorama.
