Fishing festival on Lake Fuschl

The fishing festival at the castle fishery starts at 11 a.m., a great festival in a great atmosphere by the lake with the Aberseer Musikanten. Large selection of fish specialities of local fish from the grill and from the smoker, draught beer, wine & non-alcoholic drinks. The smoked trout and char from Lake Fuschl are famous beyond the region and can be savoured not only at the annual fishing festivals. The construction of the new fishing centre has created an attractive venue that offers an extremely atmospheric ambience. At the end of August, prizes are also awarded to the fishermen who land the biggest fish at the pike fishing event.
Those who want to "earn" the culinary delights can combine this with a hike around the lake, whereby a large part of the route is unspoilt and offers wonderful views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. A trip on the "Fuschlerin", a Ziller with an electric motor (i.e. noiseless), is also an option. It travels directly to the fishery.
