Ceramics Intensive Course: Wheel Throwing

You decide what kind of piece you will make - small cups, vases, bowls, and much more are possible. Your works will be fired once after drying, and you can either come to glaze them about 2 weeks after the course during one of our Open Ceramic Workshop sessions or take them home unglazed.

The number of participants is limited (minimum age 14 years). 3 hours of instruction at the pottery wheel in a group.

Cost: 80 euros / Includes clay, firing, introduction, ongoing support, and explanations of all techniques. Not included: glazing and second firing - for that, it’s best to book an appointment in the Open Ceramic Workshop, which should be at least 2 weeks later. You can arrange this directly during the workshop.

Payment/Cancellation Policy: Participation can be canceled free of charge up to 10 days before the course start exclusively via email at keramik@medienkulturhaus.at. After 10 days, half of the fee will be retained, and anyone who simply does not show up on the course day will have to pay the full amount. Given the high demand and long waiting lists, it is simply not fair if someone cancels at the last minute or does not show up.
