Gosau Mountain Christmas

"Preserving customs and maintaining traditions" is a motto that is highly valued at the Gosau Mountain Christmas. Here, far away from mass tourism and mass-produced goods, long-established customs and nearly forgotten crafts are practiced and lived.

Typical Gosau home cooking, regional delicacies, and homemade treats are offered by the local heritage association, the traditional costume women, and farmers' wives. Experience true culinary delights with festive pastries, a hearty soup served in a bread bowl, and many other delicious specialties. The "Advent Stars" are once again the children this year! With a diverse program for the little ones, time flies by and boredom is a foreign word. Donkeys and a small Gosau round trip with a horse-drawn sleigh promise fun and joy for the whole family. In the Christmas workshop of the King of Dachstein in the barn, fine gifts can be crafted while parents leisurely stroll through the Mountain Christmas and enjoy the enchanting atmosphere.

On Saturdays, the little guests can grill sausages over the campfire with the youth of the FF Gosau starting at 3:00 PM.
