ON THE TRACK, READY, GO! Zip along the tracks of the former coal railway! Passing impressive natural backdrops of the Hausruck, through a showcase tunnel, you follow in the footsteps of our ancestors. Here, "black gold" was mined until 1964.
An experience that keeps history alive. The station building "Life around Mining in Scheiben," then and now, features documentation with picture panels, image projections, a showcase kitchen, Scheiben 1925 - a model replica at a scale of 1:100 of the tunnel entrance portals with mining locomotive and cart. Enjoy a fun ride (3.5 km round trip) on the rail bike route with rail bicycles and the miner's train "Oskar the Mine Shuttle." Hiking & OÖ.Nordic.Fitness.Park Hausruck.
