Guided hike: Palfner Lake

After taking the Graukogel cable car to the mountain station at 1,954 m, we hike past the well-visited Graukogel hut and through a two- to three-hundred-year-old Swiss stone pine forest to the crystal-clear Palfnersee, located at the foot of the rocky cliffs of Feuersang. After a break by the lake, we return to the mountain station of the Graukogel lift. During the ride down to the valley, you can once again enjoy the breathtaking view of the beautiful Gastein Valley.

Meeting point: 9:15 AM at the valley station of the Graukogel lift (Bus line #555)
Hiking time: 2.5 hours, 240 m elevation gain in ascent (1.5 hours), 240 m elevation loss in descent (1 hour)
