Farmers' Autumn - Home & Traditions Evening Wagrain

At the marketplace in Wagrain, traditional Heimat & Customs Evenings, including refreshments, take place regularly. On these pleasant evenings, the folk dance and Schuhplattler group from Wagrain passionately showcase their skills. On some evenings, the Wagrain "Herreiter" and "Goaßlschnalzer" also join in. Goaßlschnalzen is an Austrian tradition. The name comes from the term for the whip used by coachmen, called Goaßl in the dialect. Schnalzen refers to the loud crack produced by the quick movement of the whip. Enjoy the evenings with free admission and refreshments. In case of bad weather, the Heimat & Customs Evening will take place at 8:00 PM in the Rauchkuchl at the Sporthotel Wagrain.
