Stummer Mill - From Grain to Flour with Water Power

It is located in Roßleithen above the scythe factory on the romantic path to the Pießling spring. The mill was meticulously restored in 1997 and is open to visitors at certain times.

Travel Information: Private: A9 - Exit Roßleithen, then B138 about 300 m towards Windischgarsten, turn right towards Roßleithen, about 5 km. Public: Take the Riedler bus (line 431) to the Roßleithen Ort stop - walking time about 20 minutes.

Opening hours: From June to the end of September, every Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM. No registration required. Guided tours at other times for groups of 10 or more can be arranged for a fee.

Note: After visiting the mill, you can continue hiking to the impressive natural spectacle of the Pießling spring (about 20 minutes). It is the largest karst spring in Upper Austria - an entire stream emerges from a vertical rock face.
