Bahngasse 27, 2700 Wiener Neustadt

The posthumously published song collection "Schwanengesang," featuring settings of texts by Ludwig Rellstab, Heinrich Heine, and Johann Gabriel Seidl, owes its title to the fact that it is Schubert's last major composition, which may indeed have been conceived as a cycle, similar to the two predecessors "Die schöne Müllerin" and "Winterreise."

Opera singer Günther Groissböck captivates millions of audiences on the world's greatest stages with his noble vocal sound and breathtaking expressiveness. In the Wiener Neustadt casemates, he once again explores the emotional diversity between poetry and song, narrative and sound within Schubert's body of work, following his previous successes.

Together, the three cycles form the core of Schubert's song creation and are currently being recorded on CD by the duo Groissböck and Krumpöck.

An event as part of the Bösendorfer Festival Wiener Neustadt.
