Magic of Lights at Grünberg in Gmunden

Starting November 27, 2025, the treetop walkway Salzkammergut will transform into a radiant backdrop for unique winter moments.

A very special winter highlight awaits visitors at the treetop walkway Salzkammergut on Grünberg in Gmunden. Hundreds of thousands of gentle lights will illuminate the path and amaze guests of all ages.

The event kicks off on November 27, 2025, and anyone who doesn’t want to miss this experience should mark the date in their calendar. The enchanting light display will be available until January 11, 2026. CLOSED: December 24, 25, and 31, 2025.

The treetop walkway Salzkammergut will be open during this period from Thursday to Sunday, from 1 PM to 8 PM, with the last admission at 7 PM. During the Christmas holidays, the light display can be experienced daily, except on Christmas and New Year's Eve. On the days the light display is open, the Grünberg cable car will take you to and from the mountain between 12:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The regular admission prices for the treetop walkway apply without any additional charge for the light display. Tickets are available online or at the ticket office of the Grünberg cable car and at the treetop walkway Salzkammergut.
