Soul Kitchen - Finest Soul & Funk

The well-known funk and soul band "Soul Kitchen" consists of London-born singer Danielle Rappaport and musicians from the districts of Melk, Krems, Scheibbs, and St. Pölten. In August 2024, they have performances scheduled in Pöchlarn - shortly after a resounding success in the same city.

On Thursday, August 1, Soul Kitchen provided the perfect musical backdrop for the event "The Great Kokoschka 3.0" organized by the municipality of Pöchlarn. The band played at the church square starting at 5 PM, followed by a curator's tour with Anna Stuhlpfarrer through the open-air gallery at 6 PM. After that and in between, there was more live music from Soul Kitchen.

Additionally, Soul Kitchen will perform on Sunday, August 18, starting at 5:30 PM at Nibelungenwiese in Pöchlarn for "A Sunday Evening With Good Soul," organized by Hotel Motel Moser. Josef Heinrichsberger and his team will treat fans of good soul music to exquisite delicacies from the kitchen and cellar. Admission: voluntary donations!

Soul Kitchen first performed in this lineup at the sold-out Rathauskeller Pöchlarn in spring 2018 in their hometown. Even then, the audience enjoyed soulful and danceable classics from Marvin Gaye, Sade, Otis Redding, Randy Crawford, Bill Withers, James Brown, Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, Prince, and many others. The audience was extremely enthusiastic and called for several encores. In December 2018, the band played at the 50th anniversary celebration of the legendary Jazzkeller Krems. Highlights in the following years included celebrated concerts at the Ybbs city festival, the Höfefest Persenbeug, in Vienna, at WiewerK, and at Nibelungenwiese in Pöchlarn, among others.
