Christine Prayon will not perform cabaret in the conventional sense; she is not interested in pure criticism of the status quo unless alternatives and utopias are discussed simultaneously. She also believes it is time to save the world, but she cannot do it alone. By the way, she cannot and even less wants to sit at the piano and sing about so-called women's issues; she is completely the wrong person for that. If you expect that, you will be bitterly disappointed, so it’s better to expect nothing, as your viewing habits will be subverted anyway. Oh, and Birte Schneider will not be on stage tonight either. Who is that anyway?

Now you already know what you won’t get. More will not be revealed at this point, but Christine Prayon would like to say something to you personally:

Beloved audience! With "Farewell Tour," I am focusing on the big feelings, after having focused on the small feelings for years with my first program "The Diplom-Animator" (Because I am often asked: A small feeling is, for example, a moderate amount of sympathy towards a fairly good acquaintance). If feelings are important to you, but you also like to think a bit for relaxation, you should definitely check out this program. It will be my last. So secure your tickets quickly. The following program will be called "Comeback" and will focus on the big feelings. I don’t want to reveal more, as this is about my current last program.

Perhaps the word "Farewell Tour" evokes surprise, sadness, or even panic in you. That’s okay. That is exactly how I and my management intended it. A farewell increases the market value of this cabaret product through emotional charge many times over. It doesn’t matter what kind of farewell it is:

Is Christine Prayon saying goodbye to the stage? Possible. A woman in her mid-40s represents an aesthetic provocation and, if she truly loves her audience, better withdraws from the public unprompted.
Or is it about more than just the end of a single career? Is cabaret dead? Possible. When politicians try to be clowns, the clowns run into politics.
Or are we talking about a farewell on a grand scale? The end of capitalism? Possible. --- GOTCHA!! Of course, that’s not possible. Capitalism is the worst, but it is without alternatives. End of discussion.

So which farewell is it? As I said – it doesn’t matter. The main thing is that you are curious now.
