Maxi Gstettenbauer was born in Schwarzach, Lower Bavaria, and managed school mostly in standby mode. If someone had told him that he was suffering from depression, he might have graduated from high school and would now be developing vaccines, but then we would have lost one of the most renowned stand-up comedians in Germany. He is not a poet – he is a live performer, which has the advantage that you don't have to remember so many texts. That doesn't make much sense with Maxi either, because if you know him, you know that his programs breathe. A program could look completely different after just four months. His reasoning: Too much is simply happening!
