Guided Autumn Hike: Nature Observation Trail Nassfeld

Framed by the glaciated mountains of the Tauern range, the panorama in Nassfeld impresses its visitors. Nassfeld is not untouched nature, but rather a cultural landscape shaped by humans for centuries. Remnants of mining and the old Roman road are traces of the once heavily traveled trade route over the Mallnitzer Tauern. The National Park theme trail Nassfeld is located at the end of the Gastein Valley Nassfeld and begins directly at the information hut of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Here, visitors receive additional information on geology, the water as a basis of life, wildlife, and alpine flora, which are characteristic of the Gastein Nassfeld. From the parking lot, the trail heads south towards Nassfeldalm and Brandtneralm. The hike is classified as "easy to moderately difficult" and is therefore suitable for families with slightly older children.
