The band Following Footsteps was founded in 2021 by Karlheinz Miklin Jr. What began as an attempt to realize his own musical ideas has since developed into one of the more interesting and successful projects in Austrian modern jazz. Through numerous concerts, the quartet, consisting of internationally sought-after exceptional musicians, has come together and developed a very distinctive sound. This sound is rooted in tradition while also being modern, and is characterized by a wide stylistic range, both from the musicians and the compositions, making it very diverse.
