Fritz & Aaron Karl

The audience favorites Father Fritz and Son Aaron Karl will read—musically accompanied by the string quartet Sonare—from the letters between Father Leopold and Son Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

In the history of theater, there have been many famous fathers and sons. However, it is not every day that both are absolute favorites with the audience. This is not the case for Fritz and Aaron Karl. While the father has been shaping the German-speaking film and television landscape for decades (including "Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot," "Tatort," "Meiberger – Im Kopf des Täters"), the son became known to a wide audience through the television film "Das ewige Lied" and appearances in series such as "Tatort" or "SOKO Donau," but most notably through his role in the ORF series "Walking on Sunshine."

On this evening, Aaron and Fritz Karl will read from the letters between Father Leopold and Son Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Music: Early compositions by Leopold Mozart, the best of the string quartets by W.A. Mozart, as well as from his Requiem in the arrangement by Peter Lichtenthal from 1828 and further adaptations of works by the musical genius.
