"Intrigue and Love - Vestibule at the Castle Theatre"

For the literary youth movement of "Sturm und Drang," Friedrich Schiller's play KABALE UND LIEBE, premiered in 1784, was a work that shaped identity, as it tells the story of an attempt to break free from authoritarian social structures. The bourgeois Luise and the noble Ferdinand defend their love despite existing class boundaries and ultimately become victims of the intrigues surrounding them. Ebru Tartıcı Borchers examines the contemporary relevance of this material in her production. To what extent is love still a battleground of social constraints? How powerful is love really? With a youthful amateur ensemble, unconventional answers are sought in a playful manner, creating possibilities for change.
