From July 8 to 18, 2026, the 45th Chamber Music Festival Lockenhaus will once again attract numerous classical music stars such as Sir András Schiff, Frederic Belli, Ian Bostridge, Chaos String Quartet, Itamar Carmeli, Anna-Lena Elbert, Marley Erickson, Avery Gagliano, Christina Galietto, Trio Gaspard, Anna Han, Heinz Holliger, Vashti Mimosa Hunter, Jonian Ilias Kadesha, Prof. Dr. Jürg Kesselring, Korossy Quartet, Alexander Lonquich, Olli Mustonen, Lawrence Power, Nicholas Rimmer, and Inmo Yang to the Mecca of chamber music. They will present a diverse program in the intimate atmosphere of the Knight's Castle and the Parish Church of Lockenhaus, as well as the Synagogue of Köszeg, at the invitation of Nicolas Altstaedt.

It is a tradition at the Chamber Music Festival Lockenhaus that there are no pre-prepared programs. As an audience member, you are invited to become part of the adventure that the artistic director Nicolas Altstaedt leads you into each day. So take your time to immerse yourself in the unique Lockenhaus experience and plan several days for your stay in the heart of Europe - yet secluded from the world - amidst the forests of Mittelburgenland in the Blaufränkischland region.
