Katzenberg 1, 4982 Kirchdorf am Inn
From April 25 to 26, the park of Katzenberg Castle will transform into a medieval, colorful spectacle. A full-day entertainment program, medieval culinary experiences, live music, and a medieval market are a must. Both young and old can experience exciting knight battles up close, enjoy the antics of the jesters, and dance to medieval live music. Culinary delights such as knight pans, grill specialties, the favorite dishes of maidens, and the squire's favorite sweet, baked mice, can be found in the food mile. To quench your thirst, you can jump into the tavern for a refreshing cherry beer, a mug of mead, or fresh elderflower juice from Princess Elvira's garden, where you might even meet one, two, or three knights refreshing themselves after their battle. The coffee and cake tent offers a place to relax. For our young visitors, we also offer a knight's course, and once completed, the little ones can be dubbed knights. While strolling through the medieval market, our guests can find all sorts of interesting goods that are indispensable from the Middle Ages. Browse through market stalls offering jewelry, swords, bows and arrows, wooden toys, children's swords, riding bows, furs, flower crowns, and much more. Camp groups that reenact medieval life from various epochs and regions invite you to visit. Don't miss the festival; we look forward to your visit. The proceeds from the event will go towards the preservation and renovation of the castle.
