Just as Vienna of the past faced the tribulations of such times with humor and distinctive charm, the acting duo Köstlinger-Maurer presents this in their new program "Wien in Dur und Moll" in their usual witty manner.
Almost forgotten chroniclers of Vienna from the turn of the century to the First Republic, such as Ludwig Hirschfeld and Eduard Pötzl, are given a voice, but the memoirs of a legendary Viennese toilet attendant must not be missed either. More well-known protagonists of Viennese coffee house literature and cabaret complete the cheerful, comedic, and sometimes sentimental bouquet, to which Karl Farkas would have surely had nothing better to say than: "Just look at that!"
The versatile young pianist Hanna Bachmann, originally from Vorarlberg and now living in Vienna, provides congenial assistance.
