Crossing Habachscharte & Plattiger Habach 3207m (Ski Tour)

A taxi takes us from the Habachtal to the starting point of the tour at the Matreier Tauernhaus. This tour over the Habachscharte is a challenging crossing of the Hohe Tauern and a south-north traverse of the national park, surrounded by numerous peaks over 3,000 meters and glaciers. If conditions are good and the group has sufficient fitness, it may also be possible to summit the Plattige Habach (3,207 m). The very long descent through the entire Habachtal should not be underestimated.
