Spring Festival of the Lipizzaners

On May 9, 2026, the traditional Lipizzaner stud in Piber will open its gates for the Spring Festival – a festive day dedicated entirely to the famous white horses. Amidst the gentle hills of Western Styria, guests will experience life at the stud up close. The expansive grounds surrounding the baroque Schloss Piber provide space for encounters with Lipizzaner mares and their foals, exciting insights into horse breeding, and authentic impressions of daily life at the estate. From the farrier show to guided stable tours, numerous stations invite visitors to linger and participate. Regional craftsmanship, culinary specialties, and Styrian music also shape the program. Families can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, while children playfully discover the world of horses. The Spring Festival is a special experience for all those interested in the cultural history of Styria and the famous Lipizzaners.
