Austrian alternative singer-songwriter Anja Plaschg, known as Soap&Skin, released her critically acclaimed album in 2009 and achieved commercial success in the Top Five in her home country. Plaschg was born on April 5, 1990, in Gnas, Austria, and grew up on a pig farm. In 2010, she won the European Breaker Borders Award for international success. The following year marked a quiet phase for the artist, during which she focused on writing more material and other creative endeavors.
