Carnival Tuesday in Ligist

On Tuesday, February 17th, the marketplace in Ligist will once again transform into a cheerful and festive center. The big carnival celebration brings together young and old, with music, colorful costumes, and a lovingly designed program that is particularly aimed at families. Starting at 2:00 PM, face painting for children will take place at the Gasthaus Gangl. At 2:14 PM, the colorful children's program will kick off on stage with a theater performance, children's disco, and a joyful polonaise through the town. From 3:00 PM, a magic show at the Gasthaus Gangl will leave everyone amazed. The main program also begins at 3:00 PM and brings pure carnival spirit: shooting games, excerpts from the carnival session, and the popular star parade will ensure a good mood. It will be particularly exciting during the mask contest, before the ceremonial key handover takes place. To conclude, the celebrations will continue in the inns, with music, costumes, and a lively atmosphere. The carnival celebration at the Ligist marketplace has long been a fixed point for many from the Graz experience region and Styria. An afternoon that couldn't be more colorful.
