Max Raabe loves animals. In his song “Bumblebee,” he dreams of entering their world, wanting to put cookies into kangaroo pouches or, at certain spots, chop down trees with beavers. His thoughts also revolve around the effects of autocorrect (“Starting over again”), riding bikes, or – as we know – the perfect moment that gets missed. In the concert program "Petting Bumblebees," Max Raabe & Palast Orchester have fun with animals, combining popular "Raabe-Pop" hits with timeless original titles from the 1920s and 30s, such as "Tonight or Never" or "When Elisabeth." While Max Raabe humorously guides the audience through the program, the inclined audience can sit back and relax.
