City Nature Challenge

From April 24 to 27, 2026, the City Nature Challenge will take place in the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel region. Animals, plants, and fungi will be documented using smartphones or cameras and reported via iNaturalist – every observation counts. A special program highlight is the free, cross-border bike excursion on Monday, April 27, where species will be recorded together and the diversity of the region will be made visible. How does it work? With your smartphone or camera, you can take observations and upload them along with the location via the iNaturalist app or website. All observations made during the designated period will be automatically added to the City Nature Challenge – every observation counts.
