The Sound of Hans Zimmer & John Williams - 2026

The greatest soundtracks in film history are performed live by a powerful symphony orchestra and choir with over 100 participants. Featuring music from blockbusters such as Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Dune, Jurassic Park, Gladiator, Indiana Jones, Inception, and more.

Hans Zimmer has achieved something incredible: the German composer worked behind the scenes in Hollywood for decades, remaining largely invisible to the general public - and yet he has become as famous as a rock star. His outstanding soundtracks contributed to many films becoming blockbusters: from "The Lion King" to "Gladiator," "Interstellar," and "Dune." Only one living film composer is as famous as he is: the great John Williams. The American has been nominated for the Oscar an astonishing 54 times - winning the award five times - and there is likely no more famous melody in film history than his fanfare for "Star Wars."

These two composers have created a wealth of brilliant music that everyone knows, evoking nostalgic memories for film audiences - and generating strong emotions even without moving images. So it is no wonder that "The Sound of Hans Zimmer & John Williams" has been a crowd puller for years, filling concert halls in the German-speaking world. Now, the project is entering its next round with a new program - featuring new musical highlights, orchestral power, and nostalgic imagery that brings film history to life through sound.

The program will be hosted by Daniel Boschmann (Sat.1). With fascinating background stories, surprising facts, and entertaining anecdotes, he will take the audience even deeper into the magical sound worlds of Hans Zimmer and John Williams.
