Discovery walk through the market Weyer

As part of the rehabilitation guest program, there will be a market stroll through the market town of Weyer. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the Golden Market Weyer held a significance in iron production similar to that of the iron city of Steyr. In the following years, the town established itself primarily in wood processing and as a prestigious summer retreat. The once Golden Market Weyer – a vibrant center of iron transport – has a rich and eventful history. Shaped by Turkish sieges, fires, the Reformation and Counter-Reformation, and the families of hammer lords, their traces are still clearly visible in the market's appearance today.
