Alphorn, Weisen and hunting horn players' meeting, 11 - 13 September 2026
The Alphorn and Weisenbläsertreffen is a highlight of the Katschberger HoamART and makes the Katschberg resound far beyond the borders of the region. More than 100 alpine horn, cornet and hunting horn players will fill the mountains with their harmonious sounds and turn Lungau into a unique musical experience from 11 to 13 September 2026.
The event starts on 11 September in various huts on and around the Katschberg. Alphorn, Weisen and hunting horn players will come together and have fun playing. It continues on 12 September with the Musicians' Hiking Day. The new cable car takes you up to the Aineck, where music is played around the lake at a lofty height of 2220 metres above sea level. The highlight: an ECHO CONCERT will be held in the Gontal valley from 19:00.
On Sunday, 13 September, the 16th Alphorn, Weisen and Hunting Horn Players' Meeting will come to a festive close with a field mass at the Gamskogel Hut
Whether traditional melodies, spontaneous sounds or communal songs - music takes centre stage at the Katschberg Alphorn, Weisen and Hunting Horn Meeting. The gentle sounds of the horns in the midst of the mountains are sure to give you goosebumps.
