Folk music meets pop music – how that can sound is demonstrated by Starmania winner Anna Buchegger live with us at the Kronen Kino Mistelbach as she presents her new album "Soiz"!
Classical, jazz, pop – there is hardly a genre in which the versatile voice of Anna Buchegger has not found enthusiastic listeners so far. She showcased her talent not only during her spectacular Starmania success in 2021 but also in performances at the Salzburg House for Mozart and as an interpreter of numerous cover versions. With each experience, the 25-year-old has gained a deeper understanding of herself and the music business. She has listened more closely to herself, reflected, and continuously drawn new lessons from her experiences. The desire for something new has increasingly matured – a blend of alpine folklore with contemporary pop music. All without (right-wing) political stuffiness, petty bourgeois mentality, or slipping into shallow waters. In her album "Windschatten," Buchegger creates nothing less than a new era of musical folk culture. She connects the raw authenticity of rural life with the playful sound aesthetics of contemporary urban pop productions, thereby opening a drawer that has never existed before.
