Open House Day

The Heimat House Braunau, also known as the "Bell Foundry House," invites you to freely explore its historic rooms on Saturday, May 9, 2026, as part of an open house day. The bell foundry workshop from the 14th century is one of the few remaining sites preserved in its original state in the German-speaking world. A well-preserved smoke kitchen and parlors furnished with furniture from the Baroque and Biedermeier periods are among the highlights. The special theme is: "The Danube Swabian Village," providing insights into the daily life, cuisine, and customs of the Danube Swabians. Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026, 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM.
