Maypole raising in Grödig

The rural youth of Grödig traditionally organizes the Maypole raising on the community meadow in Grödig. The Maypole is a symbol of spring, newly awakened life, and fertility. The raising of the Maypole is a traditional custom that is maintained by many rural youth associations in Salzburg. The event starts at 12:30! There will be a children's program, live music, and a wheat beer bar.
