Guided hike: Shoe repairer

High above Dorfgastein rises the distinctive peak of the Schuhflicker, which, with its pointed shape, characterizes the eastern flank of the valley. The hike begins at the mountain station of the Fulseck summit lift, from where the path leads along the picturesque Biotop Trail to the Arltörl. Here, an impressive panorama already unfolds, but the real highlight awaits further up.

The trail winds up the mountainside in gentle serpentines, passing the weather cross, until the summit of the Schuhflicker is finally reached. The breathtaking 360-degree view extends from the majestic Hochkönig over the Bernkogel, the imposing Großglockner, to the Ankogel group. An old legend accompanies this impressive backdrop during the ascent: the name "Schuhflicker" comes from the tale of a shoemaker who was punished for his blasphemies and turned to stone. After a lengthy summit break, the descent is made via the same route back to the Arltörl. From there, the hike continues through an idyllic forest to the Heumoosalm, where a well-deserved rest and meal are planned. Refreshed, the group then heads along the Mushroom Trail towards the middle station of the Fulseck summit lift, where the tour concludes perfectly with a cozy descent in the gondola. End of the hike around 3:00 PM.
