Guided Autumn Hike: Historical Mining in Gastein and Rauris

From Nassfeld (Gastein Valley) to Kolm Saigurn (Rauris Valley): The former Roman road connecting the valleys is steeped in myths and legends. The crossing of the ridge that separates Pongau and Pinzgau reaches an elevation of 2,226 meters. After descending to the end of the Rauris Valley, there is enough time to stop at a cozy hut. We will walk through the natural jewel "Rauriser Urwald," and a minibus will take the hiking group back to Bad Gastein from the Lenzanger parking lot (1,550 m) in about 1 hour.
Meeting point: 7:30 AM at Bad Gastein train station.
Afterwards, a taxi ride to Nassfeld/Sportgastein, where the hike will also start. Duration: 10 hours (of which pure walking time is at least 6 hours) Elevation gain: Ascent: 650m / Descent: 650m Participants: minimum 6 people Hiking guide: Hans Naglmayr
Costs:
The guided hike is free with the Gastein Card; the price without the Gastein Card is € 5.00.
Bus and transfer costs (approx. € 45.00) and refreshments are to be paid separately.
Good equipment and mountain/hiking shoes are absolutely necessary.
