Maypole raising in Langenlois

MAYPOLE ERECTION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF LANGENLOIS
The current form of the maypole, a tall trunk with a preserved green top and wreath, has been documented since the 16th century. From the 19th century onwards, it also emerged as a local maypole for independent communities, serving as a symbol of their self-confidence. Over time, a strong local tradition has developed, which has been celebrated in Langenlois for many years. The municipality of Langenlois invites everyone to the traditional maypole erection at Holzplatz. Delicious refreshments will be available for all guests and "maypole guardians." Young visitors can have fun in the bouncy castle or get creative with face painting.
