The most beautiful half marathon in Austria
Since 1987, the International Sparkassen Hallstättersee Round Run has been taking place, and participants consistently rave about it after completing the 21 km in the stunning landscape of the Salzkammergut, calling it the most beautiful half marathon in Austria.
The ASKÖ Hallstatt will, of course, ensure a smooth running of the event and is looking forward to a large field of participants. Registrations are possible through the website of the Hallstatt Lake Round Run.
A run through the UNESCO World Heritage region
As a participant in the International Sparkassen Hallstättersee Round Run, you will circle the Hallstättersee and run through the three UNESCO World Heritage sites. You start in Hallstatt heading towards Obertraun, the home of Dachstein Krippenstein. Once you arrive there, you continue along the Eastern Shore Hiking Trail and Eastern Shore Cycling Path to Obersee, the first district of Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee. There, you will pass the 10 km mark. Congratulations!
The run continues to Steeg, another district of Goisern. Here, the last 5 km of the International Sparkassen Hallstättersee Round Run begin. You will tap into your last reserves of energy and reach the finish line at the marketplace in Hallstatt, where all your fans will be waiting for you!
