The local mountain of Au is a popular and beautiful viewpoint. The view is particularly impressive when the sun rises blood-red on the horizon. From Au, we drive with our own car to the parking lot below the Alpe Öberle. From there, we hike past the Edelweißhütte on a narrow path up to the Kanisfluh. When the first rays of sunshine illuminate the surrounding peaks, words become unnecessary. Return - same route! Elevation difference: 500 m, hiking time approximately 2 hours uphill. Return: around 09:00 AM. Registration: by 4:00 PM the day before at the tourism office; here, the exact start time will also be announced between 03:30 and 05:00 AM! Equipment: Ankle-high hiking boots with a treaded sole, functional clothing, wind and rain protection, backpack, water bottle, provisions, sun protection, health, and the necessary fitness are required. Hiking poles, when used correctly, greatly facilitate the ascent and descent and are gentle on the joints. Don't forget your binoculars and camera. HEADLAMP or flashlight required! Number of participants: at least 4 people. Cost: €25.00 per person. For guests from Au-Schoppernau and Warth-Schröcken with a valid guest card for Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal, it's free!
